This is an amazing geode set from the deep shale Northern Missouri. A pocket known as the Honey Hole 3.0. I handpicked this unopened along with a full bucket of other great geodes. This was an enhydro with water that was millions of years old. There is a video of this one being cracked that will be released this year and has the possibility of going viral and so many of the geodes from this location have.
Upon opening, the calcite was cleaved. This makes a great window into the calcite fortunately! The plates, fingers and bridges have great structure. Undamaged translucent quartz point clusters and blossoms with great luster and cool formations.
Super awesome UV under 365nm light!! That calcite glows like it’s radioactive!
*BONUS- I am including the calcite pieces that cleaved off upon opening, with the geode set. This fact will make for a great showing when the conversations start. You can piece the two pieces together when showing the geode. 😎
